Product Description

pdblowers is experienced in creating a wide variety of equipment enclosures to protect equipment from weather and hostile environments and to protect workers from equipment noise. Our largest enclosures are custom containers built from the ground up in our fabrication facility.

A custom-built container is the best enclosure option when you have specific needs such as highly customized side panels, special anchorage points and penetration points, or material requirements like stainless steel access doors. A modified shipping container may be an option to meet more basic needs.

Size
Our enclosures are built to your spec at any size. We have built custom containers ranging from 20′ to 40′ in length. Our facility is well equipped to handle large containers, with multiple bridge cranes and a 60′ drive through paint booth.

Material
Our most popular option for this style enclosure is painted mild steel, with many coating options to meet your specific needs.

Insulation
Our most popular insulation option to insulate a container enclosure is 2″ Rockwool insulation with an OSB liner; this is a budget friendly option that provides typical noise reduction of 12 to 20 dBA at 3′ from the package. Other insulation materials are available including foam, recycled carpet pads, foam with quilted mylar scrim surface, insulated panels, and fiberglass insulation with OSB wall. A perforated liner is also available to protect personnel from coming into contact with the insulation and minimize damage; a liner is recommended when the container will be opened for maintenance on a regular basis.

Base
Our standard is a custom fabricated steel sub-base with conventional corner blocks for handling.

Ventilation
Air is typically introduced into the container on the sides – but is customizable to meet your equipment configuration. Ventilation air must be used to eliminate overheating of any heat generating equipment inside the enclosure. Please specify the expected heat load and we can offer solutions to best suit your needs.

Exhaust fans are a common option. We can supply fans for the enclosures for any of the following voltages: 120 Vac/1/60, 208 Vac/1/60, 208 Vac/3/60, 240 Vac/3/60, 277 Vac/1/60, 460 Vac/3/60 (also referred as 480 Vac/3/60), 380 Vac/3/50, 220 Vac/1/50

We frequently build custom containers as part of mobile soil remediation systems, however we have worked in many industries and applications where process equipment needs to be protected or attenuated.
