We are seeking an Application Engineer that specializes in blower and vacuum pump systems and will initially be based at our headquarters in Gainesville, GA with the potential of relocation to one of our remote offices.

Positive displacement blowers are at the core of our operation. We build systems that are simple to complex. Most of the time, the blower is at the heart of our systems – but we have expanded into a variety of integrated systems and fabricated solutions.

We recognize that the knowledge and skills we seek will need to be developed. The successful candidate will have a background in engineering. Because we deal with air and gas, a solid background in thermodynamics and fluids is beneficial. Mechanical design and exposure to electrical controls are also beneficial.

Our goal is to develop you into an expert in our fields of endeavor. We believe that a training period of two years is required in order to develop a strong skill set. The successful candidate will start their career training at our headquarters in Gainesville, GA. Based on your existing knowledge, at least one year of training in Georgia will be necessary.

Once you are trained, you may be based in our Gainesville, Georgia office or may be relocated to one of our field offices. We currently have offices in Winston-Salem, NC; Cincinnati, OH; Reno, NV and Kent, WA. We are relocating the Kent, WA office to a new undetermined location in the Northwest. The highest priority position to be filled is currently our office in the Northwest. Qualified relocation expenses will be reimbursed.

As an application engineer, some travel will be required to visit customer job sites to assess their needs and develop solutions.

Our application engineers get involved with start-ups and troubleshooting as well.

Many application engineers follow a path into Business Development.

The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.

To be successful, you will need to understand our operational limits and be willing to work with engineering and production to successfully navigate a project to completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCad
  • Familiarity with ERP Software – we use Epicor 10
