In 1990, Jim Hene established Rotating Engineered Products (REP), a distributor and service provider for industrial blowers and vacuum pumps. Three years later, John Mattick joined as partner. In 1997, the business established an online presence, doing business as pdblowers; the name worked so well that REP became pdblowers, Inc. in 2013. In order to better manage client needs, pdblowers began taking steps to fulfill custom assembly of blower packages. In 1996, they introduced the VersaBase Blower and Vacuum Pump Mounting System in order to better integrate the components used in blower and vacuum applications. In 2000, an investment in fabrication equipment allowed most work to be completed in-house. Fabrication capabilities expanded and their facilities expanded with them. Today, the company operates its main office out of a 50,000 square foot fabrication hub, which houses state-of-the-art metal-fabrication equipment, among other capabilities.
Because blower technology is useful for operations across a wide range of industries—from pneumatic conveying, aeration, to processing—pdblowers was well-positioned to expand services to other regions. Today, we work mainly in the U.S. and Canada, but our services are global—with clients in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan and China. Beyond blower fulfillment and custom-designed solutions, our reputation also rests squarely on stellar service and support. Our experienced mechanical technicians repair most blower brands, whether they originated from us or not. We offer a 12 month warranty on packages and everything we build so that our clients benefit from an optimally working product.
As an agent, distributor, and direct seller we offer an extensive inventory of industrial equipment. Our geographically distributed warehouse facilities allow us to ship your products so they arrive when you need them. Since 2014, we have been the top U.S. distributor for Howden Roots, the preeminent manufacturer of industrial blowers. In many states, we are the agent for Howden Roots, HiVac, and Continental Blower.
